Baltimore Regionals

Woo hoo!  I love when SU! holds a Regional Seminar close to home!  Had a blast as always:)  Unfortunately we did not get to see Shelli.  Her daughter just had a BEAUTIFUL baby boy so it is her tradition to spend the first week with her new grandbaby!  She's such a wonderful grandmother!  I love that she puts the Lord first and her Family second before her job.  If you have a second...check out her blog and see him for yourself...so cute!   http://www.soshelli.com/

ANYWAY...back to Regionals...In Baltimore...WOO HOO!

Here's part of our CRAZY bunch...
As part of Regionals we received the stamp set Day of Gratitude.  Not only do they plan great Make n Takes for us (see below) but they also have a display board with more projects using the set...here are two for you to see.

Technique Tuesday

Hello there.  Sorry to all of you who missed my first Technique Tuesday.  Here is a look at the projects we made today...

We concentrated on different products offered by Stampin' Up! for coloring in stamped images.  I stamped a heart image four times on each of Whisper White cardstock, Naturals White cardstock and Watercolor paper.  I simply punched the hearts out using the large heart punch.  Then I drew a line with a pen down the middle of two of each of the cardstock hearts.

I started with the Watercolor Pencils.  On each of the hearts, I just colored using the pencil itself covering the entire heart.  On the right side of the line, I blended the coloring using a Blender Pen.  I did the same thing using the chalks BUT on the left side I used a q-tip to transfer the color.  I like to use the safety swabs because they have a little bit more cotton on the end and are easier to use.  On the RIGHT side I used the Blender pen to pick up the color and colored in the heart.

The last two I just colored in with the marker and then the last one I used a blender pen to pick up the color from the ink pad to color in the hearts.     I would have like to add another dimension to this by using the Watercolor crayons. Unfortunately I do not (yet) own them and there have been some quality issues with the manufacterer but would love to see how they compare to the rest of them!

So then onto the projects that we then made.  We made this cute little Halloween project inspired by a swap made by Shannon Beafore  that I received at the Baltimore Regionals this past weekend (posting pics tomorrow).    The second project is a cute little ornament that I came up with. You were able to pick what paper and product you used to color in your image.  I chose the Watercolor Paper and colored the images using a Blender Pen and Ink pads.

Tune in next month for the next edition of Technique Tuesday...the first Tuesday of the month.
